Though others would have described me as a go for it person.

I've always detested competition. But I seem to attract competitive individuals. They hunt me down and try to beat me out. That's a compliment really, I suppose. But it always amazed me, that here I was minding my own business, working on my own music, or planning events, or leading a Bible Study or some other thing, and someone would come along and try to either take it away or do better at it. I can remember one time the senior pastor's wife, at the church where my husband was youth pastor, made it a point to ask me what music I was working on. I enthusiastically told her of this piece I had been studying and perfecting for at least a month. The next week, she got up front and sang it.

Anyway, I know there are others out there like me... doing their thing, and drawing the watchers and even the takeovers, maybe a bit fearful of moving forward, lest they hurt someone, or fail or heaven forbid, are successful!

Hope my ramblings connect with another sensitive soul out there, looking to do their best for God and to use their gifts in a way that makes an impact.

That's all for now!

Jan

P.S. Those are my feet going over the Golden Gate Bridge, this last September. I was touring with my concert bud Kaci, and just got the urge to take a pic. For some reason, from then on, I began taking foot shots, so I'm sure I'll add more!

And the Vocal Demo is me from my album "Steppin' Out". I love this piece "Anyone Can Whistle" which talks about coming aliens and helping the person who can't seem to get it together. This is just a little snippet. Enjoy!

You can check out what Janis and Kaci are doing at www.janisandkaci.com
